Agency, or subjectivity is an important concept in personality psychology, but this phenomenon less studied suicidology. During the adaptation of M. Linehan inventory Reasons for Living we proposed to look at through lens construct. The study had two samples: students, N=490 (341 females, aged 17—28 (19.3±1.2)), and suicidal patients N=146 (105 16—48 (23.1±5.9)). structure Russian version was with IRT-model, which showed that all items agree acceptably model. But three were excluded, as they didn’t satisfy criterion measured invariance. indices reliability ranged from .74 .93 according Cronbach’s α, .73 .92 IRT-reliability. analysis construct validity most benign factors are scales Survival Coping Beliefs Child-Related Concerns, meet criteria inner motivation regulation greatest extent, while factor Fear Suicide prove itself a protective factor, it correlated positively risk. Thus, passed successful can be used research purposes clinical practice indirectly allows researcher assess agency respondent.
